Turing machine

Turing machine

Cool LEGO creation.

Although it is composed of pretty simple capabilities, Turing argued that this simple machine could performed any computation, that is, could realize anything that results from operations. In 1950, he discussed that the mind is itself the results of operations (at the neural level) and thus is the creator of the artificial intelligence studies.

Abston Church of Christ

Abston Church of Christ

A very very detailed church made entirely out of Lego.

I got back into LEGO building in June, 2000, shortly after adopting Precious, my third cat. She loved to be amidst my building from the start. She didn’t disturb partially assembled LEGO objects, or even piles of bricks, so I could leave her to play around my assembled work without too much fear of damage.

My first project was to be a large house, about 4 feet by 2 feet in size. I drew floor plans and built much of the front wall as a test of concept, then set about creating a pattern for the floor that was to become the living room. I quickly came up with a double row of crosses that reminded me of the center aisle of a church, and building a church suddenly seemed like a more interesting project.

And so the Abston Church of Christ was conceived as my first LEGO project in twenty years. As the picture above shows, Precious continued to enjoy my building, and as you’ll see in the Cats in Church pictures, she and her sister, Anya, made this project quite a lot of fun. Read about it in the construction log.

As chance would have it, I only had a few hours of work to complete when Precious passed away in January, 2002, so in her honor I wrapped it up that same day, and I’ve dedicated this project to her.

I picked up this game for the GBA. Wow, by far the best game play I’ve seen in a GBA game in a long time. I’ve only touched into the 2nd level, but it is a lot of fun, and not too difficult. I expect it won’t have a lot of replayability, but it’s very fun so far.

The world’s most successful film series meets the world’s most successful toy in the epic video game LEGO Star Wars. This brilliantly conceived alliance blends the unique world and designs of LEGO play materials with the unforgettable characters, stories and vehicles of the prequel eras of the Star Wars universe.

True Dimensions - Lego Customs

Amazing detail for a LEGO model.

As seen in the motion pictures 2001: A Space Odyssey and 2010: The Year We Make Contact the Discovery is one of my favourite science fiction vessels.

Over a year in the making and measuring 185 cm (6 feet 1 inch) in length, this is my most ambitious LEGO project to date. Details of the model can be found with the images below
