Organic Batter Blaster â„¢ - Original Pancake and Waffle Batter

batterblaster.pngOrganic Batter Blaster â„¢ - Original Pancake and Waffle Batter

With its unique, pressurized, patent pending process, Batter Blaster makes organic light and fluffy pancakes and crisp waffles in minutes!  And while breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it’s also the most skipped meal.  Batter Blaster is fast, easy and fun for the whole fmaily.  Just point, blast and cook!

Move over spray cheese, we now have spray pancakes.  I still don’t see how this is necessary, and it certainly smells of wasteful.  It really isn’t so difficult to whip up a batch from a box of pancake mix, or better yet, the few dry and wet ingredients needed.

Urban Non-Legend: In-N-Out Burger

And yes, there is a secret menu. Ordering a “Flying Dutchman” (which is not on the regular menu) will get you two meat patties with two slices of melted cheese, and nothing else on it. Ordering “Protein Style” will get you a burger with lettuce and no bun.The coolest: a “20 by 20” - 20 beef patties with 20 slices of cheese.

I’ve included a picture of the 20×20 to whet your appetite. Wow, talk about a heart attack on a bun.

Smoking Pot with an IP Address aka DIY Big Green Egg

Filed under: Food, Hacks — anton @ 12:32 pm

The Sect of Rama

This afternoon I gave the homemade smoker v2.0 a run with something relatively quick: smoked chinook salmon. If you haven’t read my earlier entry, v2.0 is basically the gutting of the electric internals, and replacing it with charcoal and a Stoker system. It worked *remarkably* well!

Cool and somewhat cheap DIY smoker.

UK Chile-Head

UK Chile-Head

Being a Chile-Head means that I have a deep and profound love for all things ‘chile pepperish’. This includes hot Chili con Carne, hot sauces, hot snacks and hot chile peppers. Notice a common theme? It is the word HOT!

Mmmm, peppers!

The Peter Petrie Egg Separator is the most unappetizing kitchen tool EVER. And sadly, the stupid thing WORKS.

Cooking on the edge - Every Browny is an Edge!

Some people (myself included) think the edge of the brownie is the best part. You can have more edge with the Baker’s Edge, a pan that gives all your brownies an edge! I believe it should reduce baking time, also. Link

Slice: Deep-Fried Pizza

Slice: Deep-Fried Pizza

Yes, that’s right. Deep-fried pizza, long the exclusive domain of the Scots, has landed Stateside. Slice noticed it on the menu of the Atlantic ChipShop a little over a month ago. After some pestering on our part, chippie owner Chris Sell allowed me and Matt Jacobs into his kitchen to film the process. Matt shot the footage above while ChipShop kitchen manager Randy Carpenter fried up a couple slices for us.

This gives me heartburn just reading about it.

Butter Fried Krispy Kreme Donuts

Butter Fried Krispy Kreme Donuts | Family Resource (FamilyResource.com)

Several months ago I was visiting my grandmother in Kingsport, TN and discovered the most delicious food ever! I awoke one morning and found her frying a Krispy Kreme donut. My immediate response was, “that’s disgusting!” She told me to hold off until I had tasted it. She was right, it was the most delicious heart-stopping food I’d ever had. After one bite, all of the fancy desserts I’d eaten before had completely disappeared from my memory.

Yum?
