Don’t mess with the outlet malls, bad parking and over crowded stores, head over to Amazon and do your Black Friday shopping from your desk.
Amazon’s Black Friday
They have are 6 rounds with 18 ridiculous deals. I’m picking the Wii ($79), the Panasonic P&S Camera ($74), Razor Scooter ($29), HD Tivo ($89), Magellan GPS ($99), and the 46″ Samsung 1080p LCD TV ($719).
Odds of getting any are pretty slim, and I probably can’t afford the TV, but it’s nice to dream.
Did you know Chuck Norris can process an infinite loop in under 10 seconds?

40+ Ways to Make Money on the Internet - by Dumb Little Man
I did a little bookmark scrub this morning and thought I would share the remaining content of my “Online Money” folder. While some people are going to view this simply as a big list of ways to make money online, that’s good - because it is. However, there are certain things that I don’t like and never bookmark so:
Dumb Little Man has made a list of some not-so-dumb ways to make money on the internet.

I just signed up with ReviewMe.com as a reviewer. My first impression of their site is that it’s well designed, easy to navigate and the terms of the review are brief and easy to understand.
It is required that you indicate the post is sponsored, unlike a few other pay for review sites I’ve looked at but ignored because they seem a bit too dodgy.
The process is simple. Signup was a snap with a minimum of questions, adding blogs was intuitive and approval instant for those who are already members of Text-Link-Ads.com (their parent company). In fact I like the interface of ReviewMe.com significantly more than Text-Link-Ads. Hopefully they will replicate some of the simplicity to the TLA site.
They are paying for reviews of ReviewMe.com (like this one) and will do so until they spend $25k. That in itself seems like a great way to market a new product and get a lot of publishers interested. Time will tell if they can attract the advertisers to continue the stream of cash flowing.
While I’m not sold yet on the idea of for-pay reviews I will give it a try. Please let me know in the comments what your opinion is and if you think it’s ethical to accept money for a review?
Bring on the reviews!

Why Paris Hilton Is Famous (Or Understanding Value In A Post-Madonna World) « chartreuse (BETA)
I’m amused by Paris Hilton.
If Madonna was Marketing 1.0 then Paris Hilton is Marketing 2.0.
She’s a real life version of what value is and how it is created today.
Every web developer should pay attention to her.
Some interesting thoughts.

creative bastard
It’s one of those slow days today. A little while ago I put together a little application on our phone system so that when a telemarketer calls in, I can transfer them to this extension and annoy the hell out of them. I thought about it a bit more and decided to make it a little more interesting, so I can get them to hold on the line as long as possible. Today I recorded a bunch of different voices sounding really interested in what a telemarketer would be offering.
The mp3 linked from creativebastard is pretty cool.
