R A D I O H E A DRadiohead is offering up their next album, In Rainbows, on their web site. If you’re a lover of physical media and pony up £40 for the Discbox which includes the CD, two 12″ heavyweight vinyl records, a second enhanced CD with more new songs, and digital photos and art.
Or, take the cheap way out and name your own price from 0 up to whatever you want to pay for the digital download. I forked over £2 which is $4.97 USD after they apply a transaction fee and exchange rate. I suspect this is more than they make from traditional record sales. I’ll find out on the 10th what the quality and format of the downloaded files are. I’m hoping for wav or flac, but mp3 at 192kbit or better will suffice.
