Founders Brewing
There was a beer post a few days ago so I figured I would contribute one of my all time favorites. Just like the makers claim, it is a beautiful beer. Delightfully complex and surprisingly smooth, all the while not the least bit bitter.
Dirty Bastard is an absolute beautiful beer to
behold. Dark ruby in color and brewed with ten varieties of imported
malts this beer continuously lives up to its reputation as a bold and
powerful ale. Dirty Bastard is complex in the finish with hints of
smoke and peat paired with a malty richness, finalized with a good bit
of hop attitude. This beer “ain’t fer the wee lads.”

The only beer of theirs that I’ve tried yet is the Centennial IPA. It’s another nice brew with a unique taste. I’ll be sure to look for the Dirty Bastard next time I’m out shopping.

I’ve bougth it from the Whole Foods in Rochester, MI. I’m also pretty sure that I’ve seen it at a couple different specialty shops around the midwest. Looks like Founders is working on a beer locator on their site. It’s “coming soon” for what that’s worth.
If you’re near Grand Rapids, Michigan they do have a taproom setup at the brewery complete with weekly live entertainment.

For the record my introduction to this beer was from a tap at Zingerman’s Roadhouse in Ann Arbor.
