I think I’ll just “experience” Antarctica through this blog instead of actually visiting. -51.2C seems a tad chilly.
Midwinter’s Day started early for me as tradition dictates that the Winter Station Commander cooks everyone breakfast in bed on Midwinter’s morning. Requests varied, from smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and a glass of fresh orange juice to a slice of toast or a bacon butty with extra brown sauce.

Last night we lost a precious part of Detroits Automotive history. The City of Detroit owned Studebaker Plant and the connected Piquette Market were lost in a 5 alarm fire.
The Studebaker company occupied this facility from 1910 to 1932.

Joseph Ferrante, the greatest musician on Earth : Houston Indymedia
OMG, WTF, LOL. This has got to be the most screwed up thing I’ve seen in a long time. Check out the comments. In the 4th post “The Team” is calling people Nazi Moderators and it doesn’t stop there.
I only know of this person because Brandon has been getting a “take down” notice for the use of the name “Joseph Ferrante” in this post on the Chief Delphi FIRST forum.
Maybe Joe’s publicist will get a clue and realize that using a “free” web space for the artists home page isn’t the best way to get page rank.
Another clue might be that there are at least 99 people with the name Joseph Ferrante in the USA.
And now, it is time to have a look at the greatest musician ever existed, whose supernatural musical powers made the established musicians and the music industry forge the biggest international plot ever to stop him. Unfortunately, now everything that they wanted to hide is being known…and the stature of the man is determined by the amount of conspiracy he generates.
[Update:]
Looks like someone beat me to Joseph Ferrante .com/.

Somehow I’m guessing I shouldn’t put one of these on the van before my move to Texas.

Humorous account of how hyperspace works.
Being a genius, I get a lot of people asking me how Hyperspace, that thing in Star Wars where a spaceship travels across vast interstellar distances in the mere blink of an eye, works. The technology itself is all still fictional of course, but the principle which it functions under is quite real.

Must be one VERY slow news day when this is on top of the news sites.
Vacationing former first lady Nancy Reagan was bruised in a fall in a London hotel room on Thursday but resumed her visit of Britain after a brief checkup at a hospital, her Los Angeles-based spokesman said.
