Macworld UK - Apple acts to foil Jobs biog
This has been posted all over the mac sites but I wanted to give $0.02. I think it is funny that they titled the book iCon. You could certainly take that boths ways, but I get the impression they are being procative about the title insinuating he is a con man and yet it could be calling him an icon.
Nice.
Apple is playing hardball with some of the world’s leading Mac writers - applying major pressure to suppress publication of a biography of Apple CEO Steve Jobs.

Apple - Trailers - Serenity
I really liked this show. I am glad that at least they are doing a movie with contingent plans on two more if the first does well. I hate Fox for taking shows like this, and then canceling them.

CVS Red PV2 mods
Handy site with all the CVS camera hacking info and links in one place.
CVS Pharmacies sells this neat little digital camera for about $20. It has storage for 25 digital pictures at a resolution of 1280×860 (about 1.1M pixel). It includes a built in flash and a rear LCD for viewing your most recent picture, and the ability to delete the most recent picture if you don’t like it. It uses 2xAA batteries that can be replaced by opening the battery door with a paper clip (insert in the small hole and pull towards the center of the camera to release the battery door).
[UPDATE]
There’s a lot of information here:

10ft Liger who’s still growing…
Deb: What are you drawing?
Napoleon Dynamite: A liger.
Deb: What’s a liger?
Napoleon Dynamite: It’s pretty much my favorite animal. It’s like a lion and a tiger mixed… bred for its skills in magic.
But Hercules is very much living flesh and blood - as he proves every time he opens his gigantic mouth to roar.
Part lion, part tiger, he is not just a big cat but a huge one, standing 10ft tall on his back legs.

Interesting series of photos on an interesting site.
The story goes like this: For years in this region, there has been an urban legend about a place called “The BigBoy Graveyard”..It was like the lost Elephant Graveyards of Africa or something…People all heard of it, but nobody had actually seen it with their own eyes. Well then my brotherinlaw Dave discovers the actual location - it was not an urban legend ! The BigBoy Graveyard actually existed…And its one of the saddest places in the DetroMetro area (if not the world) , its damn hard not to shed a tear there for all the fallen Boys.

breakbeaterror projects/cone/cone
Not sure yet if this is cool or not, aske me after I’ve had my coffee.
Thats basically it for this project, although Im sure you are wondering ‘how does it sound?’ In a word, shit. However in its favour it is very loud, presents music quite acceptably, and is perhaps a little controversial.
[update]
I’ve had my coffee now. This isn’t really that cool.

Does this thing come with window pane insurance? I’m quite certain I’d throw it through a window the first or second morning.
The Anemone Clock is an alarm clock that was designed to awaken a person with a little more personality. Unlike other alarm clocks, the Anemone clock challenges a person when awakening. The twist to this clock is that when the alarm goes off the clock rumbles intensely, therefore making it a little harder to find the off switch.

AP Wire | 04/23/2005 | Jury awards $1.2 million to pair arrested at Babies R Us
Another case of a store manager and local police going out of their way to screw up someone’s life. Maybe this lady and the $2 bill guy should start a club.
A jury has awarded $1.2 million to a mother and daughter who were arrested on shoplifting charges after paying for cookies, toys and other items at a Babies R Us store in North Charleston.

Nice review of an expensive case. I’m not sure how handy a touch screen on the front would be since I’d expect to use a remote for most operations, but it’s certainly a nice geek feature.
I am a computer junkie. Nothing gets me going like the thought of getting my hands on the latest and greatest gadgets out there. A few weeks back you may have remembered me posting some links to some interesting cases from Uneed. Once I saw the cases I knew I just absolutely had to have one. So I set out on my quest, and have for review today..
