Protein Feed - Unfortunate Logo Designs

Nice logos.

Almost certainly the worst designed logos I’ve ever seen.
What were they thinking?

[AiboHack] ZipIt Software Reflashing

Hack the $100 zipit (cheaper on ebay) to run Linux and some custom apps. Looks like a tight fit without much RAM or Flash, but certainly a cool hack.

# A Zipit device you are willing to screw up (see warnings above)
# A Windows PC (Windows XP recommended)
# A WiFi card, or WiFi access point, attached to the Windows PC (Linux version coming later)
# Optional: Linux PC or cygwin running on Windows PC (for compiling your own Linux ARM apps)
# Free software downloaded from this website (run on Windows PC)

Techdirt:Netflix User Queues Shared On Google

Appears that netflix allows the googlebot into parts of the site that normally require authentication. You can now see cached versions of peoples netflix queue, and it appears that googlebot has actually added movies to user queues.

Though “googling” has been a recognized part of the English vernacular for a few years now, privacy pundits still cringe at the plethora of publicly available information only an “I’m feeling lucky” click away.

Sky WindPower Corporation

Interesting idea for a windmill. I’m concerned about what happens when the tether breaks, where does this thing crash, and what kind of damage would it do to a house?

In other words, the United States does have at least one technology it could pursue which could make it energy independent, a means which is non-global warming and is expected to be more economic than fossil fuel.

Nambers

Welcome to: http://finger.park.throw.bed.mysteryrobot.com/

Each computer on the internet has an address of four numbers. These numbers are translated to nambers to form the namber address. For example, mysteryrobot.com’s internet address is 65.214.160.117. The namber for 65 is drum, 214 is start, 160 is orange, and 117 is hope. mysteryrobot.com is added because mysteryrobot.com’s DNS server is need to make the translation back to an internet address.

Timmy Ray: Walk Like an Egyptian

I snapped this pic of a cosmetically-enhanced crossing signal on Wooster Street yesterday. I love the bright ’80s DayGlo colors and funky leg warmers. Evidently the creator of this traffic-stopping display gets around

Sesame Workshop - Tinting for Tots (Naturally)

Sesame Street teaches us how to make eggs with natural colors.

Short version for those who don’t want to be caught on th Sesame Street web-site:
Half a cup of blueberries (grey or blue), raspberries (red), concord grapes (purple), cranberries (red) or ground tumeric (yellow) mixed into a half a cup of boiling water and a teaspoon of vineger. Leave the egg in for a few minutes and rinse with cold water.

2. For each tint, put the desired fruit, juice, or spice into a mug. Let your child use a fork to mash the fruits or to stir the frozen concentrates until the consistency is smooth.

The TRUTH About the Easter Bunny: An Ottawa Sun Exclusive - Canadian Satire, Humour and Hard-Hitting News - The Hammer

I’m glad someone finally brings this story to light.

Every year around this time, a supposedly squeaky-clean little bunny skips from house to house, distributing candy to Christians and people who were forced to go to church when they were a kid. How cute, right? Well, you wouldn’t think it was so ‘cute’ if you knew what this sex-addicted, vodka-guzzling, lecherous little 41-year-old ‘bunny’ really was all about.
